In a battery cabinet for an energy storage station, if a single cell goes out of control, the next few minutes are critical. The national standard GB 38031-2025 requirement of "no fire, no explosion" translates in engineering to a race against time driven by material performance.

1. Introduction: A Race Against Time

一个储能电站的电池柜,一旦某颗电芯失控,接下来的几分钟决定一切:火势会被拦住,还是蔓延成灾?国家标准 GB 38031-2025 提出的"不起火、不爆炸",落到工程上,正是一场与时间赛跑的材料较量。

② Common Sense: The goal is to gain "delayed" time

Cell runaway cannot be 100% prevented. The standard approach is: even if it occurs, ensure no fire or explosion, and provide sufficient warning and response time. Barrier materials delay the spread of danger, buying critical minutes for alarms, power cut-off, and evacuation.

③ 现实:标准背后是一道阻隔层

"不起火、不爆炸"听起来是结果要求,落到材料上,就是电芯之间、模组之间那一道阻隔层的功夫:它要在失控电芯喷出高温火焰时隔热、阻火,尽量不让相邻电芯被点燃。可陶瓷化、隔热型材料在这里大有用武之地。

④ Challenge: Real-world conditions are far more complex than imagined

Actual runaway conditions—temperature, flame, ejecta, and pressure—are far more complex than ideal lab scenarios. The barrier must also accommodate assembly constraints, thermal management, and long-term aging. It needs to withstand extreme events instantly while remaining reliable over the long term—a challenging balance.
